HI, anyone has first-hand experience taking HSK in Singapore? I would like to find out the process from a personal encounter.  I tried contacting the centre and checked out their website http://hsk-crestar.com.sg but did not find all that i wanted to know.

For e.g.:  I wanted to know if there is any grant (for senior Singaporeans) to defray the cost etc.  I was not sure of the level to opt for as well.

Someone shared this :
As someone who has passed the HSK 6 and uses Chinese in her profession, having it stated on my resume was very useful as it let my employers know what my language ability is (on paper, at least). If you are planning on using Chinese in a professional context, I would also recommend you take the Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) as well once your speaking ability reaches a good level. Overall, I would highly recommend that you continue your studies, but it would be useful to know more about you to determine whether a higher level testing wise is necessary (for example, the OPI is a very respected test, but is also expensive, so it might not be suited to all situations). Also keep in mind that many employers will want to converse with you after they have seen your score on a resume, so don’t rest on any laurels!
